The B4A thesis

Two structural advantages.
One category-defining company.

B4A's position in beauty is built on two compounding forces — a proprietary intelligence layer and a three-sided network that reinforces itself. Neither is a feature. Both are moats.

01
Pillar One

Intelligence

The argument

Beauty is the most personal industry in the world.
And the hardest to personalize at scale.

Skin, tone, hair, life moment, climate, mood, budget — the variables are infinite, the matches deeply individual. For most of history, the best beauty experiences were reserved for a few who could afford expert advice. Everyone else got mass-market guesses.

Our AI changes the math. It learns from millions of real consumer–creator–brand interactions and turns that signal into recommendations, rituals, and matches that are personal, accurate, and abundant. Beauty for everyone, finally.

The data

We collected the data
before AI existed.

For years, we built one of the most comprehensive beauty datasets ever assembled — consumers, creators, and brands, generating signal every day. We didn't know exactly when the moment would come. AI made it matter.

25KCreatorsAcross bfluence, one of the world's leading beauty creator programs.
2M+ConsumersReal beauty journeys — preferences, purchases, reviews, rituals.
500+BrandsInventory, performance data, campaign results, taste signals.
100M+Interactions / yrThe signal behind every recommendation, match, and ranking.
What we shipped

Three AI products.
One closed-loop intelligence.

The data moat above isn't theoretical. It powers the three products that run our consumer apps today — and that we sell to beauty brands.

Beauty Intelligence

MaIA

Your skin, understood.

B4A's AI beauty advisor. Analyzes selfies — skin, undertone, hair, concerns — and delivers personalized recommendations across thousands of SKUs in natural conversation.

Data moat

Built from hundreds of thousands of Brazilian consumer selfies — uniquely strong on Latin American skin, where beauty AI trained on mostly US and European faces falls short.

Usage

Powers personalization inside glam and Men's Market. Sold to beauty brands as a white-label engine for their own e-commerce.

Creator Intelligence

BIA

The AI inside bfluence.

Creators meet BIA in the bfluence app; brands access her through the bfluence brand backend. Matches campaigns with bflus on audience profile, content style, and performance history — not follower count.

Data moat

25,000 bflus deeply profiled through bfluence — one of the world's largest beauty creator networks.

Usage

Brands access BIA through bfluence — it isn't licensed standalone. Powers our D2C brands' campaigns internally.

Demand Signal

TendencyAI

What's next, before it happens.

Identifies emerging beauty trends by analyzing real consumer behavior and creator content performance in a single closed loop.

Data moat

Closed-loop ecosystem — we see both what's trending on bfluence and what's actually being purchased on glam.

Usage

Drives faster product decisions for our D2C brands. Sold to partner brands as an intelligence subscription.

What the AI does

Four capabilities.
Three audiences. One platform.

Consumers

Intelligent matching

Connects consumers with the products, rituals, and creators most likely to fit them — by skin, tone, life moment, taste. Powers glam match and Men's Market recommendations.

Creators

Creator–brand graph

Continuously learns which creators move which products for which audiences. Brands get the right voice; creators get the right campaign; audiences get authentic discovery.

Brands

Beauty intelligence

Real-time market signal across the world's largest beauty creator and consumer dataset. What's trending, what's working, what's next — by category, geography, audience.

All

Generative beauty

From content briefs that write themselves to product recommendations that feel like a stylist's pick — generative AI applied to the most personal industry.

02
Pillar Two

Network

The flywheel

Every side makes
the others stronger.

B4A connects three groups: consumers, creators, and brands. The relationship between them is not additive — it is multiplicative.

  1. More creators attract more consumers — discovery follows authentic voices.
  2. More consumers make B4A more attractive to brands — that is where their audience lives.
  3. More brands mean better products and campaigns for consumers, and better income for creators.
  4. Better income attracts more creators — which brings more consumers, which attracts more brands.

Every group reinforces every other group, in every direction. This is not a two-sided marketplace. It is a three-sided flywheel — and it accelerates the more it spins.

03
Execution

How we build

Principles

Intelligence, with the human essence intact.

  1. 01

    First principles

We don't ship the average. We ask what beauty would look like if the cost of personalization were zero — and build toward that.

  2. 02

Data as a moat, not a cage

Consumer trust is the most valuable thing we have. Our data practices are designed to deserve it: explicit consent, on-device personalization where possible, no dark patterns.

  3. 03

    Creators are partners

Our AI augments creators — gives them better matches, better tools, better income — rather than replacing their voice.

  4. 04

    Abundance over scarcity

Every product decision asks: does this open beauty up to more people, or gate it for fewer? We choose open.

What AI-first really means

Every problem. AI solution. First.

Being AI-first sounds simple: whenever you encounter a problem — in any context, in any department — you ask AI to solve it first. Not as a last resort. Not as a nice-to-have. First.

It sounds easy. It is not. Truly embedding that reflex across an entire organization is one of the hardest cultural and operational shifts a company can make. Most companies talk about AI. Very few actually restructure around it.

We are doing it. B4A created a dedicated internal AI squad whose sole mission is to move through the company department by department — operations, marketing, product, finance, customer experience — and systematically rebuild how each one works, with AI at the center. Not bolted on. Built in.

This is not a side project. The squad is led directly by the CEO and sits at the center of the company's agenda. Not one of many priorities — the priority.

A globally unique play in beauty.

Proprietary AI, one of the world's richest beauty datasets, and a three-sided network that compounds — together, they make B4A genuinely hard to replicate. Not just in Brazil. Anywhere.
